Corn---Big Corn!

What state is our food industry in when farmers won't even eat their own crops? A disgusting state is what it is. I can't believe I have been blind to these facts for so long. America has become a fast food nation and now we are expanding our conveniences to other countries as well. This fake-food epidemic has now become global. Obesity is running rampant. Empty calories are the mainstay. A fat yet starving population.

When will Americans wake up and smell the High Fructose Corn Syrup and the factory-fat burgers being served up at your national yet local fast food chain. For the first time in our nations history the life expectancy of our children is less than that of their parents. Did you HEAR that? All people, we need to make changes and we need to do it now for the sake of ourselves and our children. Choose grass-fed grass-finished beef and not the factory-fed poison burgers... just a sugestion.

You are what you eat AND you are what you eat eats!  That point has never been better presented than in the documentary called "King Corn" which can be rented at your local video store or seen on PBS. In the movie they state that up to 75% of the antibiotics consumed in America goes to the factory-fed beef industry. Here is a trailer of what you will see in this shocking movie.

From Food News- A Conversation with "King Corn" film maker PART B

Fear not America, all is not lost. There is a movement back to the basics. As these topics get more and more press, public awareness is now starting to speak out and say "No Mas".   We as consumers can demand change. Many restaurants are now eliminating high fructose corn syrup and corn fed meat from their menus. Farmers markets are now popping up to the tune of over 4300 in America. Little by little farmers are starting to take back their fields and grow healthy food once again. Unfortunately it's still only a fraction of what it needs to be. We must provide healthy food for the general population or obesity, disease, and infections will continue to rise.

This web site is dedicated to providing you with healthy alternatives to mainstream American diets and also to help instigate change in legislative "farm bills". Without these changes, farming will continue as status quo and our children will pay the ultimate price of an abbreviated life span. Text Source
